Volkswagen Golf GTE is a plug-in hybrid car in the back of a familiar, practical and comfortable hatchback, the flagship of the German automaker.

An ideal car for those who are interested in active drive, fuel economy, huge range and environmental friendliness.

The plug-in hybrid Volkswagen Golf is powered by a 1.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with a 102 hp electric motor.

In total, they provide the car with 204 hp, capable of accelerating the hatchback to a 100 km in 7.6 seconds. The electric motor is located between the internal combustion engine and the 6-speed gearbox.

The Volkswagen Golf GTE is equipped with a set of 8.8 kWh lithium-ion batteries that provide the car with 50 km of range in all-electric mode.

This is great for city driving. The batteries are located under the rear row of seats, slightly in front of the rear axle. The socket for charging the car is hidden under the brand logo on the radiator grille.

Visually, the Volkswagen Golf GTE repeats the look of its fuel counterpart. Notable features include the GTE badge on the grille, blue optics and the distinctive shape of the lower bumper.
