Sono Sion is a unique electric car, the body of which is partially made of solar panels that generate electricity and provide the electric car with part of the range.
Despite its innovativeness, the Sion is quite a practical car for daily use.
The power plant of the Sion is represented by a 120 kW (163 hp) three-phase synchronous electric motor with 270 N⋅m of torque, transmitting forces to front-wheel drive and developing a maximum vehicle speed of 140 km / h.
The dynamics of acceleration to 100 km / h is a little over 9 seconds.
Sion's battery capacity is 35 kWh. The battery is water-cooled and provides the electric car with a range of 255 km on the WLTP cycle.
The electric vehicle is available for fast charging with direct current with a power of 50 kW (CCS Combo) in 30 minutes up to 80% of the battery capacity and charging from AC sources with a power of 11 kW (Type 2).
