The history of SEAT began in 1919, when the Italian car manufacturer FIAT decided to set up an office in the suburbs of Barcelona.

On the basis of this production, the SEAT company subsequently developed its activity, releasing in 1953 the first car under its own logo.

Since the beginning of the 80s, after FIAT refused to increase its capital in the company's assets, the SEAT brand entered into a cooperation agreement with the German concern Volkswagen, which subsequently buys out the bulk of the brand's shares and becomes its full-fledged owner.

In 2019, the first production electric car of the Mii Electric company appeared, which finally marked the start of the transition of the brand's models to the green segment.

At the moment, the company is engaged in other developments in the field of electric vehicles and has at least several ready-made pre-production completely new electric vehicles, in particular el-Born, as well as hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions of well-known models, which will become the basis of its production in the near future.
