The Scion iQ is the American version of the Toyota iQ miniature hatchback. The machine is equipped with a 1.3-liter 94 hp engine. from. and a stepless variator. Scion iQ was produced in Japan.

In 2012, a small-scale electric version of Toyota eQ (aka Toyota iQ EV) with a 47 kW electric motor and a lithium-ion battery that provides a range of up to 80 km appeared in the lineup.

In the first year of sales in the European market, 44 thousand Toyota iQ hatchbacks were sold, but the initial interest in the model quickly passed, and in the future the demand for the car steadily decreased to 3.5 thousand cars a year. Sales in Japan were even more modest - about a 1000 units annually.

The production of the Toyota (Scion) iQ model was completed on December 31, 2015.
