Honda is one of the youngest Japanese automakers. The company was founded in 1946 by the young inventor and racer Soichiro Honda.
The goal to develop our own electric car was announced by the company's management back in the late 90s.
However, for various reasons, significant success in this direction, the company was achieved only in the 2000s.
The first major achievement in the use of alternative energy was the development and implementation of a hybrid engine in production. Since 2010, the company has been producing several hybrid cars under the Civic and Accord brands.
The turn of the first all-electric car came in 2012, when the company introduced its first production-oriented city electric car Honda Fit EV.
In addition to the already well-known hybrid models and electric vehicles, Honda plans to launch several vehicles using alternative fuels, namely hydrogen elements.
The first prototype of such a car was already presented in 2016, but in the near future its more advanced reincarnation with the prospect of mass production is possible.
