Review of Audi E-Tron

The original version of the Audi E-tron was released in 2018 on the catwalks of a special exhibition in San Francisco. A year later, the manufacturer announced the first updated version.

Its most characteristic difference was the addition of a new version of the body with the Sportback prefix, like all current crossovers that are currently relevant. This type of body gave the model not only a more interesting appearance, but also significantly improved aerodynamics.

The drag coefficient of the standard version is 0.28, while the more streamlined news - 0.25. This allowed to increase the maximum range by 35 kilometers. It is also worth noting the innovative LED headlights DMD. This abbreviation stands for digital micromirror device.

Inside the headlamp unit is a microchip with many microscopic mirrors. Under the influence of an electromagnetic field, they are able to tilt with a frequency of up to 5000 times per second. This property allows you to change the light beam in such a way as to project a picture or animation.

Among other things, the brakes were modified. The manufacturer tried to minimize the friction of the pads on the disk during movement.

The Audi E-Tron is a premium all-electric full-size five-seater crossover. The standard version in the station wagon body totals 4901 mm in length, 1935 mm in width, 1629 mm in height and 2928 mm between wheel sets. A more sloping sportback is 13 mm lower.

Ground clearance, the default is approximately 172-175 millimeters. The car is equipped with air suspension with cylinders borrowed from Q7. At speeds exceeding 120 kilometers per hour, they reduce clearance by 26 mm to reduce drag.

The wagon trunk size is 660 liters when loading under the top shelf. The coupe-shaped version, due to a more gentle slope, this parameter is 15 liters less.
